Recycle Center hours extended as debris cleanup is underway

Post Date:08/28/2017 5:10 p.m.

The city has extended hours at the recycle center and it is open daily from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. through Saturday, September 2 for residents to drop off tree limbs. Please bring a utility bill for proof of residency.

The city’s Chipping crews are working diligently to pick up trees that were cleared from the roadways and are working extended hours to pick up the numerous piles of tree limbs and debris placed curbside by residents for the city’s standard chipping services. Three trucks are driving routes in an extended schedule to stay on top of the necessary pickup. Additionally, one truck will immediately start working this week’s planned curbside chipping routes.

In addition, don’t forget that up to six bags of trash can be placed curbside on your trash pickup day with your trash cart. Fencing and construction debris is not taken curbside and must be taken to the dump.  For more details, call 512-990-6400.
